It's a very easy decline from Tampa. A 2nd round pick both does nothing for Tampa now, and it isn't enough anyway. It's great that a writer for the Athletic believes he may be worth something, and when they are an actual GM dealing with Tampa, Tampa fans might care. Tampa is very likely not trading Colton anyway, but if they were to, it would be for the deal they want, not accepting a mediocre return. If N.J. wants him, Tampa would consider it for Bahl+either Boqvist or McLeod, in exchange for Colton+Fleury+mid round pick/B prospect. If Bahl isn't available, Tampa moves on to.another team.
