Canucks aren’t moving Pettersson and I highly doubt they move Kuzmenko either after just signing him to an extension. It would take a big overpay for them to consider moving him

I would be shocked if either of those two are moved but those are two players who fit well on the Hurricanes

Crouse- we aren’t going to pay the price to make zona trade him, nor should we he is a 3LW
Keller- ehh more perimeter small wingers
Vej- don’t see the appeal
Lindholm- expensive and we wouldn’t pay to extend
EP40- isn’t happening
Kuz- too risky
TK and Marner- no control and likely can’t afford their extensions
Cat- isn’t going to be worth his contract ask

Vej- Long-term solution in net for a while and was very good (Analytically) behind the Coyote's defense
Lindholm- I can't see Lindholm getting more than $8m and we have enough cap space for that and it solves our 2C Issues
EP40- Probably right
Kuz- I mean your not wrong
TK and Marner- I can see TK resigning but no control over either of them I can see why that might be a problem... The cap space will also probably be an issue tbf
Cat- I mean if he can prove that this was a bad year than yes he'll be more than worth his contract

I mean mine is a lot more reasonable because there is at least a realistic scenario in which all of them could end up being on the move. There is no way on earth that three of those are going to be moved and the other two are going to take a massive overpay.

For Petterson, It fills a need. I would change a couple of things but this is a pretty good framework

Only way Petey gets moved is if he makes it clear he won't re-sign in Vancouver. If that happened then you're probably looking at a Tkachuk type trade so the framework is:

To Vancouver:
Aho + Pesce + future protected 1st + Drury

To Carolina:
Petterson + 4th round pick

Now zona isn’t selling so there goes some of the list

You want a star C you pay for it. Would certainly cost a lot more than what you're suggesting.

A top fifty prospect
A promosing prospect
A first and a second
And us taking on one of the awful contracts you have on the roster isn't enough... I mean I'm sure you can throw in another 1st,2nd, and another pretty good prospect or two but the Hurricanes are looking to make improvements... not just lateral moves

I feel like a top 10C in the NHL would fill a need for every team
