It's gonna be tough taking on that contract when the Rangers are so strapped for cap. There would need to be salary retained which I'm not sure Vancouver is capable of with the cap situation they're in. I don't think Canucks and Rangers make very good trade partners because of that.

Hawks pass...last thing they are looking for is a bottom of the roster LHD as they have 5 or so LHD prospects they want to start rotating throught the NHL lineup this season to figure out what they have. Definately not paying an asset for a LHD unless it is someone that can slot in as even a pseudo top pairing guy.

VAN doesnt need to retain anything on the Myers (after bonus paid hes 1m cash and AZ has cap galore). AZ not giving a pick to get him though, VAN gives pick or Martin (they need AHL G) and AZ can TDL Myers for late pick and 50%. Win Win VAN saves 6m cap, AZ gets pic to take him and pick at TDL.
