isles really going to trade dobson for Pesce? I know they like older players but this doesnt seem good for them

The Islanders shouldn’t trade Dobson for an older replacement who isn’t as gifted offensively. Also Pesce grew up in Terrytown which is in Westchester so he almost certainly grew up as a rangers fan anyway.

I’ll let everyone else argue out the value, but this is just a weird trade. I think Dobson is vastly overrated.

He’s a Sens fan. I don’t dislike his trades normally, but this is pretty bad for New York.

Do you know how many isles fans I’ve seen say trade Dobson is terrible defensively and how They should move him. And they’re all saying that Pesce is the perfect Dman for the Isles.

The Islanders biggest issue is scoring, trading Dobson out for Pesce is counterproductive

Lane did a really bad job managing the d core this year, and it hurt Dobson down the stretch. First he up Aho and Mayfield for most of the season and then he put Romanov with Mayfield which was a disaster. Also while I like Aho, he shouldn’t play with Dobson in most situations because they are at their best as puck carriers.

There were isles fans who wanted to keep Andy Greene over Devon Toews…. Take what they say with a grain of salt.

Iv seen both sides or that argument for Dobson, been told by fans on here that he is worth more then a top 5 pick in this year's draft, been told by others that he is expendable.

Teams tend to hate offensive Dmen that struggle to defend 5 V 5 but are amazing at QB PP and that’s where they get their points. Example: Dobson, Boqvist, Durzi

He definitely has a lot of potential, but right now I always say he a bit better then Deangelo minus the locker room problems

It’s a few isles fans on Twitter with bigger followings who are pushing that narrative. The odds of the isles trading Dobson is less than 1% and a negative chance they trade him in a deal for a worse defenseman. Pesce wasn’t even good defensively last season.

You can think he’s overrated but he’s still a high end top 4 D with an elite offensive impact and penalty differential
