2324 Sharks

Créé par: tytie42
Équipe: 2023-24 Sharks de San Jose
Date de création initiale: 14 juin 2023
Publié: 14 juin 2023
Mode - plafond salarial: Basique
Description
Leafs and Canucks need to shed salaries so the Sharks are willing to be the cash cow for them.
Guys on the block for in-season trades: Labanc, Barabanov, Kunin, and Lindblom.
Detroit needs defense and a gritty/penalty-killer defenseman in Simek would be great for their depth.

Still have $3m in salary cap space for being the broker team in a 3 way trade to gain more assets.

Vancouver easily declines. Neither of those players are cap dumps, would take a 2nd each at least.

Canucks pass, we aren't giving you a solid 3rd pairing D and top 6 winger for free

I would have said those first 2 trades might be in the realistic realm somewhat, but the 3rd is so crazy, you lost me

To add some facts to your unbiased analysis - Leafs can buyout Murray, $687K this + $2M next year - but you think that’s worth the difference between a 1st and a 5th in an historically strong draft? Ok , thanks for your input 👌

Detroit has less than zero interest in, or use for, Simek. Keep him.

Buy him out then and tell your leaf friends to stop spamming ACGMs that has SJ sending their 2023 2nd back for a cap dump in a historically strong draft.

Answering questionable posts with an equally questionable post seems … well … questionable.

    yes very

There's just two values going on with Murray to consider
first is the max amount TOR would give up to dump instead of just buying him out
second is the value that teams would be willing to accept to deal with TOR's problem

there might be overlap between those two, but don't know if it exists. I don't see SJ taking on Murray without at least a 3rd accompanying.
LA just spent a 2nd and prospect to ship off Cal Petersen, so TOR is probably not going to find a much better dump deal somewhere else.

Petersen has 2x$5M, Murray 1x$4.7M. By your own logic, if petersen went for 2nd + prospect - how can Murray cost a 1st? Like I wrote - questionable

Yes Murray costs less to dump and I agree doesn't take a 1st to dump. I'm annoyed with Leaf fans thinking dumping Murray is worth just moving up 8 spots from 36OA to 28OA. Like I said I think it's somewhere around a 3rd in value, and SJ would rather just get straight up picks without sending picks back because they need to stockpile.

You’d think a GM with a brain could figure out a way to trade Murray wiithout giving up a 1st. Leafs got a 3rd and 7th and he had 2 years left. With one year left, how does the cost go up? Especially with the cost of a buyout so low.
