13th overall in that first trade should be more than enough for Hart in my mind. Even that is a steep price. Maybe something on the lines of 13th OA + UPL for Hart + 2nd round pick.

Even that's too much. My guess, and it's just a guess- adams was interested in hellebuyck, he called, didn't like what he heard, and continued down the line. I'm sure he then called briere, anticipating a much more reasonable ask, and didn't get one. So in a few days, adams will be linked to another goalie. The important thing is he's not overpaying. It would make me feel even better if he was kicking the tires on some physical defensive d, I think average goalies can look much better with a good team in front of them. Which I think goes a long long way to explain why goalies have years that are all over the place.

Even then, hell no. Trading a 1st for a goalie makes no sense. We have Cossa in the pipeline and Husso is just fine to bridge the gap.
