CBJ had to have given up something right? no way they got provorov retained for free

From a Kings perspective, there are tweets saying there are "minor league players" also involved. That could be big news or a big nothing burger, depending on the prospect.

Prospects considered (by me) to be "minor league Kings" -- Turcotte, Spence, ****emo, Chromiak, Grans.

I'd have to imagine either the CLB 2nd or LAK 1st is going to Philly. No way LAK retained 30% on Provorov and shipped him to CLB as a favor

Something has to be coming from Columbus. Currently, he's going there for free.

Provorove even with .30 retention is still a 4.7 million cap hit dman. Columbus is still getting a overpriced dman.

I would imagine Philly is getting something smaller from LA too. I think retaining 2 million over 2 years is a way better bargain that Petersen and Walker in terms of cap compliance.

Well they're still moving out 4.7mil from Provorov for 2 years, which they wouldn't have been able to do without LA's help, and they're getting a capable 2/3RD to play for them in Walker. So they could view the Provorov/Petersen side of this as a wash.

I have a feeling Philly is going to get ALOT back. They trade Provorov and they take on Petersen. They are getting LA 1st from Columbus for sure. They are probably getting 2024 LA pick (top 10 protected). They are probably getting one of jake bean or boqvist from Columbus. They are probably getting a high end prospect like Turcotte from LA.

Philly is about to get ALOT.

Sounds like Columbus gave up a 1st and LA a 2nd to Philadelphia.

Doubt they'll get both a 1st and a high end prospect from LA. We'll see what shakes out though.

Depends on retention numbers of course. We will see! Either way Philly should make out nicely.
