Regarding your Hellebuyck trade, "It's out there that he doesn't want to re-sign with Winnipeg" is simply false. Also, most teams who are interested in Hellebuyck would have that offer beat.

i like the idea of trading for hellebuyck but that offer is horrendous. hellebuyck would be samsonov + knies and a first and that's too much to give up

Can you please provide more on these "insiders" I have heard nothing from all the insiders saying that Matthews has come out and said he wanted an extension before next season starts. I actually even seen the clip where he said that. I also seen where Shanny said that the core 4 will not be going anywhere.

Helle said he is not wanting to go through a rebuild. He never said that if this team was competitive that he would not sign long term. I get that now a days anyone can have a podcast in there basement and be called an insider. But maybe we should listen to the actually players and hear what they say.

I've read them too. They're not "rumors" but rather a "LA hypothetically could be interested and here's what a deal could hypothetically look like." Not a single one of them accounts for the Kings cap situation. All of the trades would put them over the cap by 10M+.

That deal would be met by an "Are you serious?" from ottawas end, it is terrible for the leafs and you'd be a simpleton to not accept it

"Insider" LOL for the most part that just means some guy on TV who spreads rumors and spins things the way players and teams want him to as well as spreading rumors he dreams up on his own (often lopsided deals favoring his favorite teams). Not much different than most of the posters here. In fact a lot of those "insiders" take credit for rumors they found here.
