I like the schmidt/Silfverberg concept, even with schmidt being the slightly better asset, The Jets will prob need to add a 2nd or 3rd because Schmidt has two years compared to one year on Silfverberg

I honestly think the LAK trade is pretty fair. Iafallo is pretty underrated and PLD is more proven then he is given credit for.

Ducks could use a vet LHD for Drysdale until some of the younger guys like Zellweger or Mintyukov are fully ready so I’m good with this.

Idk, I think if the Kings trade a Byfield+ package it'll be for a bigger fish then a 2C like Dubois, could see Kopitar signing a team friendly extension and they have Danault signed long term, just don't see Duchois as a fit there but anything is possible I guess.

Can't see the Canes sending a 2nd for Wheeler, doubt theres much interest in him, there wasn't last offseason so doubtful theres been any change on that front though he is a UFA so maybe there is, a guy like him would have more value as a UFA then with term attached.

Can see the merit of the Ducks trade for both sides but likely that Silfverberg blocks it anyway so Schmidt likely stays a Jet.
He's pretty much a cap dump at this point but given the Jets situation he isn't worth wasting assets on to dump or the dead cap space of a buyout.

The Samberg contract is okay but Barron is a $900K bridge, shouldn't get anymore then that, he's a replacement level player imo.

Wouldn’t mind the Canes picking up Wheeler. He would probably have a bit of success as a very low cost depth add. That being said, a 2nd is a massive overpayment. Most I can see teams giving up for Wheeler would be a 4th or 5th for half retention.
