Arizona in an interesting place with Keller and Cooley possibly needed to be moved, and 6 and 12 in draft. Probably hockey trade with all ready having so many draftpicks. One team that could actually put a package together for bedard, or add mtl at 5 or wash at 8 and have one wild draft.

Arizona isn't giving up one of the better value contracts in the league. Also ,Arizona isn't taking on that big of a contract with the uncertainty.

Arizona declines, why would they trade the cheaper player who's signed for three seasons longer.

No. Keller is better IMO. With Chychrun, the price was far off from what I was saying which was Bernard-Docker, 1st, 2nd, A/B tier prospect but, I think he wanted out and they did him a favour.
Keller is a fantastic player who is really overlooked because he plays on a bad team in the smallest market.

Marner: 26 yo, playing with superstars like Matthews in the market with the most recognition. Has 2 years left on an 11 mil deal.
Keller: 24 yo, playing for a broke team most people didn't think existed, lots of cap, not many NHLers on that team. Has 5 years left on a 7 mil deal. Last year(21-22), has a PLUS on the Yotes, this season was more than a P/G ON THE YOTES; A LOTTERY TEAM.
I'd take Keller any day.
