Easy, McTavish hasn't proven anything yet. And a draft pick is still a roll of the dice *Alex Daigle* *Kappo Kakko* *Nail Yakupov*. KK is a 100 point guy who with a center like Zegras could get 60 goals. He's played his career with Ryan freakin Hartman who isn't exactly a playmaker. I seriously doubt either team makes that deal but it's from both sides not just the Ducks.

If the Wild did somehow get the #2 OA pick there is no chance they trade for multiple picks later in the draft. You trade the only superstar in team history for the #2 pick then trade that for 2 picks in the teens. Don't overthink.

What? McTavish hasn't proven anything yet? He's 20 years old. 17 goals and 43 points in 80 games is a good rookie season. Playing on a bad team. You're out to lunch. 😆

Stop the straw man, Guy. 🤭

Gotchu. Thats what im sayin man. I didn't say it crudely either. Like they aren't already exposed to that stuff by the phones and computers their parents give them at age 10 or even younger nowadays? Instagram, TikTok, whatever other sites they stumble across, or even in school? I mean I learned when I was mad young lol

Yeah the top 4 centers in this draft could easily be 1Cs.

Top 6 C potential could be had through the 2nd round. Guys like Heidt and Edstrom are gonna be interesting to see where they go. Definitely taking a risk in the certainty with how many Ws will be NHL locks but this is the year to swing on Cs IMO.

You should probably reread my comment because I'm not a Ducks fan so I won't be getting Kaprizov and Rossi. I also wasn't questioning how the Wild got the 2nd OA pick I was asking why would the Wild trade that pick once they had that pick.

Off topic but do the wings eye Benson or Smith and try to make a move up tho is what I been thinking about.

I agree this draft is really deep. There is risk involved but I think it's minimal with Fantilli. Excluding Bedard Fantilli is probably the best center prospect we've seen since Jack Hughes.

I think Smith goes 4th or 5th so he will be off the board by 9. With Benson it depends on what Yzerman wants a winger or a center. Benson is 5'10" 159lbs so he might be a winger in the NHL. I don't see Yzerman trading up because so far Montreal is the only team in the top 5 that has said they wouldn't be opposed to trading back. But unless Carlsson is still available at 5th OA. If he is still there Montreal is taking him.

Well yeah that's what Im saying. We are almost certainly going to have move up to get one of those two guys. 1-4 aren't trading their picks. I think Benson and Smith go 4-7 for sure. Montreal, AZ, Philly or Wash I could all see being open to trading down potentially. So if those guys fall to 5-8 then I wonder if making a move up would be a good play. I'm not very knowledgeable about this years class and don't know the players that well. But what I have seen from Smith and Benson, I'm super impressed. If the potential is there, I would for sure want to move up to snag one of them. Carlsson goes 3 IMO. CBJ needs more options down the middle and Michkov fits San Joses timeline better I think
