Raising the cap from 83.5m to 87m is merely a 4% increase.
The average year-by-year cap increase in the period between the 2013 CBA negotiations and COVID pandemic was a bit above 5% iirc.
With escrow being mostly paid off by next year coupled with the league generating record level revenues a 4% cap increase is nothing if not reasonable.

Besides, the roster still came out 3m below the cap ceiling so why would you make a fuzz about it?...
