Jets 2023 first round pick

Still a nope lol it's not like dach was a beast this year and he's still injury prone. Just don't include him and make it 2023 first prospect and cap for Dubois.

You won’t get fla first PLUS a prospect but I could see Armia and the first be the return.

Yeah but armia is a dump so in terms of value Dubois is probably slightly worth more than the 17th pick and taking on the cap makes it so the prospect is included. Mind you you'd have to pay to get rid of armia to another team so including one prospect when you're adding 2 quality ones via the first and 2nd on top of the pool already its seems like one prospect like kidney isn't something that would really have a spot if Dubois and top forward are drafted

With jets elimination from the playoffs and the word of Bowness I don't think Dubois will be back to Winnipeg for 2023-2024 season.

Now where he will play that the real question, it's could be Montreal if Kent Hughes made an good offer for both side or he could accept a hostile offer from another team that want him for one years. I think the list of interest team it's maybe around 10 to 12 so that not alot of destination possible.

As for an hostile offer, is next contract would probably be around 6 to 8m which made the cost of 1 first, 1 second and 1 third round pick for 2023. That leave 12 team able to do that: Arizona, Duck, Buffalo, Calgary, Caroline, Chicago, Colombus, Dallas, Detroit, Nashville, Seattle and St-Louis.

On this list Anaheim, Arizona and Chicago is rebuilding and could try to make good impression with Dubois to sign him long-term but it's not really realistic except for Anaheim.

Buffalo, Calgary Detroit and St-Louis are mid tier team that could completion next year's and adding Dubois could help them in this direction.

As is last team I don't think Dubois would want to return to colombus so this one team out.

Caroline and Seattle is to me the best option for playoffs game and one year deal that could persuade him to stay.

Dallas is the team with the less money available so it's an hard option to go there.

As for an trade avenue, the price the jets want is an active roster player preferably an top 6, along a first round pick and an young prospect A.

The comparative analysis could be the same as Horvat but the difference between Dubois and Horvat is that the first would only accept an one year deal while the other was already sign and have accepted an extension with Islander.

As for Montreal the price would be something along Anderson / Dvorak with Florida pick (around 17) and a prospect of the like of Mailloux / Hutson / Mesar / Beck .

I don't think Kent Hughes is ready to trade Anderson yet but he did have day that he could do another Dach trade this summer so moving is First round from Floride is a possibility.

Now as an personal level I don't want to move Mesar, Beck and Hutson I would like to see what they could give because I think they could become NHL player even if it's not too star. A third trio of Joshua Roy, Owen Beck and Fillip Mesar sound pretty good in my opinion.

Just gonna say this and I know it's not happening but wouldn't it be hilarious if the Jets just washed their hands of PLD and didn't qualify him after all the bickering on here?! Again I know it's not happening, was just saying
