I can't see Cup contender Avs willing to trade a good/very good Dmen for a 3rd line winger.
Clifton who hasn't made much money by NHL standards in his career, probably get a lot more as UFA by some other teams. Wings, Sabres, could be good landing spots. Yeah Wings and Sabres aren't the Lighting now but could be soon.

    Yeah that 3rd liner.

Tavares had 1.11 goals pet 60 minutes ice time over the last 2 years playing in Toronto's top 6 with top 6 guys. Colton has scored 1.14goals/60playing with 4th liners but yeah he's just a bottom 6 guy stop how many times does TB have to allow players to over develop and get caught behind great players before people realize they are better than you think.🙄🙄🙄. How many times does TB have to show they're "3rd/4th" liners are better than a lot of teams top 6 or at least as good. Jonathan Marchessault Carter Verheaghe Taylor Raddysh Yanni Gourde

Uhh how did Colorado magically get Columbus' 23 1st? And why on Earth would they ever trade it for Ross Colton?

There's some major realism issues going on here.

Why would Columbus trade their pick for Toews?

You Tampa fans are going to be unbearable for a while eh? Just fat cats unable to even fathom that your team isn't what it used to be and won't be for a long while. The window is closing if not already closed.

I really like Colton and I'll gladly give a 2nd to get him in Detroit but he isn't worth a 1st plus.

Colton is a goal scorer. Over the last 2 seasons playing almost 12 mpg with mostly 4th line players put up 1.14 goals per 60 while Tavares in the same time span playing 18 mpg with top 6 players and top pp time is at 1.11 goals per 60. Colton is a greatly undervalued player show me before the 21 season you thought Verheaghe was a top 6 guy? Or Marchessault when he was still with TB. Or Gourde at 25 or Raddysh? Stating FACTS make us unbearable sorry you can't handle the truth.

In all fairness to the OP he stated it's the kings 1st.

Come on get real COL trades Toews for a 3rd liner a small defenseman and a 3rd that’s horrible for COL. Toews is arguably a top 10 dman in the league.
