Replace Mesar w/ Caufield or Suzuki and the Hawks would probably consider this.

Maybe not untouchable - Hawks would probably trade him for #1 overall pick, ha - but it takes a whole lot more than this package to get him.

If reichel was a Hab the price for him would be 3 firsts and he'd be the greatest prospect in NHL history to you guys

Trade Reichel who has already shown he can be pretty productive at the NHL level for a kid 2 years younger playing juniors that has to prove himself in the minors, and then the NHL where you hope he may become what Reichel already is where you take that gamble to move up from mid 2nd to bottom of the first as your reward for that gamble? That is some good stuff right there....the knid of special you can only get from a Habs or Leafs fan.

He's a mid-round pick that hasn't really moved up in the redraft. That's it. Whether he was with MTL or not, he is worth a mid-round pick.

If you had a 20 year old PPG player in the AHL who also produced great in the NHL this year you wouldn't be saying this in the slighest. He'd be the habs best prospect (if you're really that high on Hutson you can argue about him idc) and is rated as a top 20 prospect in the NHL. This level of delusion habs fans when rating their players value compared to those on othes is ridiculous. If he's worth a mid round pick then all your prospects are worth late round picks

Edit: using Mid round pick to describe a mid 1st is nasty. the rest of the point still stands

You know what I meant. NGL the fact that you keep posting random bs on Habs ACGM that has no relation with the Devils makes me think that you are trolling the Habs. That's gonna get you banned buddy, Watch out.

I realized what it meant after bc it was an incredibly weird way of describing a mid 1st. Mid round implies a middle round (3rd-4th-5th round pick). It's not trolling. You can check most reputable scouting resources. Just to start off, wheeler has reichel 20th with only Hutson higher (and he is self admittedly very high on Hutson). Reichel is a top prospect and would immediately become the habs best or at worst second best prospect (not viewing Slaf as a prospect bc he is a full time NHLer).

He has moved up in almost every re-draft of 2020 you'll see. Most notably, from 17 to 11 in the athletics redraft. I'm sure you wouldnt trade Kaiden Guhle for Sam Rinzel and moving up from 40 to 16 in the draft

Ya IK what a mid-round pick vs a mid-first-round pick is. Just said it wrong. I'm saying you are potentially trolling/flaming for the numerous times you go on MTL acgm, not relating to the Devils, and saying that the Habs players are worth considerably less than what they are actually worth. Although it's not major or anything, you gotta chill out with that.

I mean, value-wise, its fair, not saying CHI does it, but by no means is replacing Mesar with Caufield a realistic comment to say by some people in other comments.

I didnt say replacing Mesar with Caufield is realistic. I told you that he has in fact moved up in most re-drafts. Value wise, would you trade Guhle for Rinzel to move up in the draft? I doubt you would. It's the same case here.

Montreal fans (most Canadian team fans in general) tend to be the worst offenders of overvaluing their assets.

Would I do, no? Would I consider it? Yes. There is a clear overreaction to the "bad value" by people in this acgm, that's all I gotta say

Well, if that's how you view their value, then fair enough. I think with where we are at we need the guy who has already proven he can hang at the NHL level rather than moving up for a 1st. We have enough 2nd rounders to do that this year without compromising prospect capital. I agree about bad value overreaction. Thanks for being civil

Some of your takes in the past hour are quite outrageous.

"The pretend hypothetical magical first hughes claimed he was offered in a weak draft at the 22 deadline means another poor year where anderson can't surpass 35 points later and now he has superstar value of a 1st++" No one said he is worth more than a first

"Anderson is a cap dump." Ya, find me a 6"4, near 30-goal guy that hits, is super clutch, and is paid less than 6 Mil a year, there isn't a lot, not a cap dump at all.

" Suzuki has been getting caved in all year" Bit of slump, that's it. Still, manage to get his career high playing with an half-AHL team for 40 games. Top 10-point producer in the first 20 games this season btw.

You cannot be commenting that Habs fans take are bad when you are doing the same.

Suzuki has actually been better recently than he was earlier in the year. Good sign. (his early year play was driven by unsustainable on ice shooting %s that later came down to earth), but for most of the year his xgoals% was below 40

Josh Anderson is not a near 30 goal scorer. This year is the second time in his career he's passed 20 and he doesn't provide much else. Not worth 5.5 to a smart team.

I have seen countless habs fans in various places claim anderson is worth more than a 1st. Generally the "price" I've seen is 1st + top prospect

He's a solid 25 goalscorer, on a very bad team. Make MTL a mid-table team and he becomes a 30-goalscorer, and it's not even deniable. If you want to win cups, guys like Anderson help a lot and can help a mediocre team have a good playoff run. I get he isn't worth a lottery 1st and a recently drafted top 16 guy, but saying that he isn't worth a first in the 15-25 range is kinda just being in denial, especially since reliable sources such as Pierre Lebrun came out with reports saying Hughes refused a 1st+ for Anderson.

stick to our own players .. you are trading for other team's optimism.. Not sure that Mesar wont be a better player and a top 20 pick on top of it could be Caufield (at 15) or a Guhle (at 16) type of player.. really not a smart trade
