CBJ trade is a no go. Boqvist has been QB PP1 & PP2 very well and has had the maligned CBJ PP humming over the past 20 games. I think they keep and him and see someone like Peeke, Bean or Blankenburg traded.

I don't think that we would be interested in exchanging Comtois for a guy whose Qualifying Offer is half a million more; Max at least is someone we know.

To be fair, I have proposed the same Anaheim deal and have seen many Ducks fans accept.

I would love that CBJ trade, not the Dubois trade though. That's ugly for Montreal

Yes, and Boqvist loses his PP time when Werenski gets back or he inevitably gets hurt again. Plus it also looks like Jiricek is getting PP2 for the rest of the season. I wouldn’t be surprised if Columbus moves Boqvist, his value is back up even with his defensive struggles, someone will pay up for him.

The fact that Peeke is playing as Columbus 1d right now over Boqvist says that Columbus still believes in Peeke and that he is better then Boqvist, it’s highly doubtful Peeke gets moved.

You've seen me accept it many times.

Gurianov has better offensive chops than Comtois does, even if he is just as streaky. Landro and I hope the Comtois can unlock his potential and be the Terry egras 1LW, Gurianov is more likely able to do that.

And I've declined it every time I've seen it, on the same ground: both players right now are in the "hope for" category, rather than the "expect" category, and Gurianov's QO is half a million more than Comtois' and while we can hope for Comtois to sign for less, we don't have the same hope for Gurianov.

I'm just not a fan of this exchange*, but I certainly respect your opinions!

(* There may be some homer bias underneath this.)

I look at it as they are very similar players, Max is more Physical, Dennis has better offense. If the hope is someone fast, big, and physical for the TZ line, I think Gurianov has a better chance at it, and for 500k in a QO it's a gamble I'd be willing to make.

I'll stan for Comtois all day, I think he'd be a great middle 6 (mostly 3rd line) guy going forward with the right line combination, but we have a lot of bottom 6 guys, and even subtracting Silf next season, there's a few kids in SD who are looking for spots on the big team like Regenda who can do what Max does.

I'd love to keep him, but Max really needs to find that scoring touch again if he is going to stick around, Dennis likely has an easier time finding that with Zegras, thus my belief that it's a trade worth taking, or at least is not objectionable.
