If Konecny had 4 years left at 5.5 I could justify the ask but he doesn't he has 2 seasons and then ufa, so for Detroit it's a tall order to pay that price especially in the Atlantic where Tampa, Boston, Toronto haven't gone away of really faltered down the division and Ottawa and Buffalo will also both likely improve. It's high risk for Detroit and Yzerman is still GM over there he has generally made really smart trades , this wouldn't be a smart trade for him

I think he's worth a bunch I'd gladly do the 1st ,2nd and Veleno for konecny. I wouldn't do the upgrade the 2nd to another 1st I think that's just too much. The same with increasing the return because of retaining salary. Detroit has no salary issues.

Only exception I have to your draft a C or RHD is if Michkov falls. He's too talented to pass on if he's there at 7. I would prefer a Center as I'm not overly high on the Dmen in this draft class outside maybe Reinbacher but even him I'm not too sure of.

100% take Michkov if he falls but I don't see him making it past 5 and we are currently screwing ourselves out of that range.

It's killing me watch them win and get further and further from a top 5 pick, but at the same time it's the younger players who are carrying them to victories so I can't complain too much cause it's nice to see maybe some of them aren't absolutely useless lol
