I like Lindholm too but if they didn't buy horvat or Meier for that kind of price no way they spend that on Lindholm.

Way to much for Detroit to spend. Lindholm might be worth that but not for us, those picks are far more valuable than he would be in the tail end of his career. His contract will be too big and hurt our cap situation in the future. We are better off drafting those players and developing them.
Same can be said about the Parayko trade, that Detroit first is likely still a lottery pick. Those two trades don't immediately make this team a playoff team let alone a contender.
I would do the Faksa trade without a pick going back. I don't think he would affect our cap situation too much.

Def not paying that for Parayko... And Lindholm is one 1st too much for a pending UFA next year, IMO.

Way too much for one year of Lindholm. Always way too much for long term Parayko. Just better ways to spend cap than on Parayko, and just sign a UFA this year or next instead of trading for Lindholm.

Value wise, I don’t think you are too far off on that blues trade, especially if that 2024 pick is unprotected. However, losing parayko would set the blues back even more which is why they would not accept IMO.

Of course it depends on what the Flames plans are going forward, but lets say they would do a re-tool. Does Lindholm have more trade value as a 28y old UFA than Debrincat, Meier and Chychrun?

Take out Veleno, Fabbri, Sebrango out of this trade and switch the 2024 1st for a 2026 3rd round pick and you have Debrincat trade value when he was a 23y old RFA. There is zero chance Detroit would do this trade and zero chance that the Flames would get a better offer for him than this.

Not a chance Detroit makes these trades. Yzerman has made some uncharacteristic moves lately but this will not happen.
