Why would Detroit give up on a guy who already looks to be an everyday NHLer in a year or 2 for a pick that has a low likelihood of even making it 100 games in the NHL; and probably at least another 4-5 years before a 3rd round pick contributes. This trade is awful.

I am quite aware I've angered Wings fans for trading for Soderblom lol... I do love Sodreblom though! Honestly had no idea what his worth was but evidently, I misjudged it! HAHA

He's borderline untouchable because he has such a rare combination of skills and size. For Detroit to part with him, a team would have to overpay at such a colossal level, that their GM should get fired for doing it.

He isn’t terrible in transition according to Andy and Rono’s player cards so it’s weird af imo. Needs more time. He’s shown flashes as of late.
