I think it's a fair deal, but I think things are set to heat up and maybe it will require Mercer over Sharangovich,. I don't think Fitzgerald goes for that. Apparently Carolina might be willing to part with Jarvis and Suzuki, so should make for an interesting trade deadline. If Meier does get traded this deadline, I think he may go for more than the ask.

As the season has gone on I’ve not been impressed with Holtz, though he hasn’t had much opportunity. There are issues there with skating and being one dimensional. Sharangovich isn’t much other than a 3rd line winger, sharks already have that guy x3 at least on the team already.

NJ also requires an extension to be done and Carolina doesn't require that as per Lebrun. Plus Canes have pieces that suit our needs better even outside of Jarvis.

No no the frustrating part is you select few who under value our guys and just call the canes prospects better! When it’s completely unwarranted. Holtz is still ranked as a top 25 prospect in ALL rankings. Casey is safely ranked in the top 60 prospects but yet this is “unattractive”. But then in the same breath say canes prospects are better but offer no supporting facts towards that whatsoever. Nikishin and Morrow are the only canes prospects in the same ranking category as those two, and guess what you won’t get them both! We offer you a better package and you scoff at it; just because you can’t get players we selected at 4th and 2nd overall. You just live in an unreal fantasy world thinking you get these guys.

And you all think your 5th round draft picks are Jesus and an A prospect. Casey is good, B prospect. Muk is good, B prospect. I’m not answering your question because top 50 prospects in the entire NHL are not “mid”. If that’s the case the canes prospects you all are clamoring for are “mid”.
