Trading Sandin for Gavrikov gets a GM fired immediatly

A second and a third for Kane? Are you sure you want to give up the Janmark package for Kane? Seems a bit much imo.

Very much a typical Leafs post not moving one of your higher end pieces but still acquiring elite top line players. Doesn't work that way.

These offers just wouldn't get the trades done.

Gavrikov for Sandin is intriguing as a jackets fan, but gav would probably have to extend for leafs to make any sense of it. Sandin though, has so much upside I'd love to see him in a jackets uniform but don't know why the leafs would move him.
Also not sure Sandin would be enough for Jarmo to accept compared to other offers with a 1st round pick...

That is not confirmed. That was one guy saying he heard something from another guy that Kane was interested in TOR and NYR, not that he would ONLY go to those two teams. And, if it were true, all that means is the price won't go up. It does not mean you can throw out some scummy lowball offer and get Patrick Kane.

Leafs fans all last year were throwing out Engvall for Hertl. They like to think players like Robertson and Engvall and Voit will return high end top line players.
