I get that CF has limits to how much you can put in a trade, but it still feels like not enough. I'd also think that if Edmonton was moving 97, they'd probably focus on younger guys - maybe swap Chytil in for Trocheck? And I think they'd want to take back a Braden Schneider, too - if they have to move McDavid, they're gonna make it hurt.

Trading for McDavid is a futile effort because the sheer amount of assets you'd have to part with probably sinks your entire team anyways. Outside of Wayne Gretzky and Babe Ruth, I can't think of an athlete that completely dominated their game like McDavid got traded, so it's tough to imagine a world where the Oilers try and move him and a team pays the ginormous price for him. If I had to guess, the only way we'd ever see McDavid dawn a different jersey is if he hits free agency
