Vancouver gets rid of Boeser contract and can use the savings to try and keep Horvat.

I personally would rather Kuzmenko than Boeser. He’s cheaper this season, probably signs a long term deal with the Pens cheaper than 6.65M per. Geno would finally get another Russian on the team and as his linemate.

Kuzmenko might cost more than Boeser though. He’s gonna have other bidders and Pens would be buying low on Boeser. Plus Vancouver needs to shed salary if they want any chance of signing Horvat long term. And Miller ain’t going anywhere so Boeser is really their only option.

Vancouver also gets their young RHD in Ty Smith. Plus Friedman just turned 27, signed cheaply(775K), is a RH shot and plays RHD/LHD equally well. Plus a 2nd round pick in an historically deep draft. And everyone knows GM JR is a Kappy fan.
