Description
Sens with stu and Norris up the middle is pretty set I’d say. Haven’t watched a lot of Sens so don’t know pinto exact value. This trade would happen in the off-season. And for the record I’m using this as a base I know theirs things to consider (Carlo team friendly contract, pinto an RFA but younger) let me know what you’d add.

Not sure the Bruins would do the trade this season, as look they look pretty set. But depending on Bergeron and Krejci UFA situation next summer.....looks like very reasonable trade to Me

Ottawa might accept this swap after Boston pays out Carlo's signing bonus.

I like Carlo, but trading Pinto for a DFD is not a good idea at all. Ottawa has plenty of assets to acquire that type of player. There's no reason for them to move Pinto, especially mid season, when they would be left with Tim Stützle and a bunch of 4th liners down the middle. If Ottawa wasn't willing to move him for Chychrun, he's not getting moved for Carlo.

I do like Carlo as a fit for Ottawa though, though I'm concerned with his injury history tbh.

Yea I should have just done the acgm for next year, but in the explanation it is an off season move my bad on that.

Also it was a 1 for 1 for Chychurn? They maybe should have done that, but also I feel like Carlo and chychurn bring way different things so it’s a hard comparison for what the sens need which I think is a good defensive defencemen.

It's not that we wouldn't trade Pinto for Chychrun straight up.

It's just that we wouldn't include Pinto as a key piece in any package for Chychrun.

I would not do that one for one. Carlo would be a nice piece but having Pinto as a 3C longterm will do wonders for this team.
If it was a better defenceman I would consider it, but not Carlo

I wouldn't do it straight up. Chychrun is always an injury risk and is left handed and is more of an offensive two-way guy. His style of position dont fit the team. AND he's a UFA in 2.5 years. Doesn't make sense for us.

I also think Arizona is being as a bit too greedy with their asking price.

A blue-chip prospect and two firsts for Chychrun is rubbish IMO.

Yea I understand where you’re coming from but you have to watch spending to much money on a position you have lots of. Sens need some depth and a top 4 D I feel like that money could be spent on. Coyle 3C contract has hand cuffed the bruins for a few years now.

And for the record I’m open to either side adding, just using this as a mutual base.

If you don't have a decent 3C and one of your top 2 centres is injured, you're screwed.
Carlo isn't the base we'd be looking at. You'd never give up mcavoy, lindholm is too old, and nobody else really seems worth it.
