I'm not sure if this is selling low on Boqvist (I guess some people are still real high on VP), but CBJ would pass. We just don't have space to take on two M6 wingers in that age range.

I'd trade Boqvist for VAN's '23 2nd, and maybe a conditional '24 3rd based on games played/ points scored. He's got the offensive up-side, it's just not a play-style that works with what CBJ want/ need from their D right now.

And in my proposal the Stars keep their top prospects. They are leading their division and are in a perfect situation to add a piece to get them over the hump.

Bourque is one of their top prospects. Comes in arguably at #2 behind Stankoven. Argument can be made for Harley and/or Bichsel, but after the year Bourque had in the QMJHL last year, he's absolutely considered one of Dallas' top prospects.

Vancouver fans are delusional if they think they'll get this level of return on a rental however. Did last year with Miller (who wasn't even a rental) show you nothing?

How so? Underachieving roster player not worth much, a top prospect and a 1st for one of the best scorers in the nhl on retention and Schenn for a 3rd. That’s essentially Chytil, Lundkvist and a 1st.
