What insiders have said that Anderson has value? He's a 20-30 point per season winger making 5 x $5,500,000 he's easily $2,000,000 overpaid based on one 47 point season.

I don’t think you’ll get a 1st for Anderson. People are complaining but he should finish season around 20 goals.

Also don’t forget Logan Mailloux, I’ve watched him play five times this year and he’s a very good dman.

Who is Josh Anderson replacing in the Devils roster? Keep in mind Palat will be back in a month, and currently Bastian is out but will return....

Habs fans can never seem to answer this one with any sense of what they are talking about.

It's why the Devils would have no actual interest and you are just paying attention to Montreal media feeding you this bull.

Unless he 100% agree with what you think, whoever insider i would name, you'd say he's not trustworthy anyway.

Tatar 100%. He's too soft for playoffs, proved it twice in his career.

You say he doesn't have value, but when he's traded for a 1st, you'll then say the GM trading for him is stupid.

Habs fan can't win those debates about players value because you guys never assume once proven wrong.

You aren't watching Tatar this year then. We aren't in the playoffs as it is right now. I wasn't a Tatar fan coming in, but you are basing this off his time in MTL, not what he has done with Hischier...

Any GM giving up a 1st for Josh Anderson should be fired immediately, Sorry like i said he's a 20-30 point per season winger making at least $2,000,000 more than he should based on one good season.

Huh? Tatar was great with Gallagher and Danault. His best statistical seasons were all with Mtl! Hes never performed in the playoffs whether Dtown or Montreal.

I'm saying he's been fine this season, I'll worry about playoffs in the playoffs,

But trying to sell me on JOSH ANDERSON in the playoffs is better???

It's funny that you'd accuse me of that without actually naming any insider. Everything I know about the Devils front office suggests that Anderson is not a target.

Tatar is always great in regular season. VGK and MTL both scratched Tatar for the playoffs, and both teams went on a long playoffs run.

You really wanna be the team carrying that player on your top 6 in the playoffs?

Just because one insane GM is willing to give up a 1st for Josh Anderson, Doesn't mean that his value is worth a 1st not by a long shot.

Dreger and Ferraro said NJ is interested to Anderson.

Friedman also said many team looking for a winger are interested in Anderson.

Lebrun said the same thing, and even said MTL turned down many offers.

But why would he give a 1st if the next best offer is a 3rd?

Because a few other GMs offered something close to a 1st, so he had to offer a 1st to get Anderson.

They all stupid?

Tatar would score more points. But he won't do the things that need to be done to win in the playoffs. Anderson will.

Habs scratched Tatar and replaced him with Jake Evans in the playoffs. That shows Tatar value in the playoffs.

absolutely. and I certainly don't want to be carrying Josh Anderson.

Playoff counting stats for Tatar:
TOI: 590 || Points: 12 || Shots: 65
Playoff counting stats for Anderson:
TOI: 652 || Points: 14 || Shots: 128

So Anderson isn't helping his team on the scoresheet anymore than Tatar.

How about on-ice results relative to their teammates:

Tatar -- RelTM G+-/60: 0.14 || RelTM C+-/60: 12.58 || RelTM xG+-/60: 0.2
Anderson -- RelTM G+-/60: -0.05 || RelTM C+-/60: -6.46 || RelTM xG+-/60: -0.36

So Anderson is a below average player relative to his teammates and Tatar isnt.

One more: Career playoff PDO
Tatar: 0.988
Anderson: 1.008

I'll take Tatar literally every single time.

I'm very excited for people to read this, have their eyes glaze over, and tell me "BUT TATAR WAS SCRATCHED" and "ANDERSON BRINGS A PHYSICAL ELEMENT YOU NEED IN THE PLAYOFFS". sigh.

Why did both those teams scratched him if he is that good? Why would MTL scratch him over Jake Evans? Why not scratch Anderson instead?

Analytics are made so soft skilled players look good. They don't take the physical aspect of the game into consideration.

But everyone knows you don't need physical players in the playoffs because the games are softer. Right?
