I dont think thats the kind of trade the habs would be looking for.

Turcotte at this point is not a top 5 pick calibre player. You can see that from his draft class 13 players already have 5 points this year. Combine that with the concussion issues and if you did a redraft now he probably wouldnt go top 20

If the habs trade Edmundson I think it will be for picks/prospects aka things that will give them a bit more flexibility at the upcoming draft. The ability to move up in the first round will be a higher priority for the habs

Turcotte has had quite a bit of injury history which has tanked his value, similar to Gabe Vilardi up until this season.

Very unlikely the Kings use Turcotte as the vehicle to upgrade LD. More likely the Kings move one of Walker, Durzi, or Grans. The other issue is, Durzi is getting better at left d so the urgency isn't as bad as it was. The Kings are in a playoff spot and they aren't necessarily in a WIN-NOW mode. I really don't see advantages to a Habs-Kings trade at this time.

Edmondson is probably worth something like a conditional 1st plus a B level prospect. Condition being something like , If the king's make the playoffs it's a 1st, if they don't then it's a 2nd.
