I did not, but the fact is that next summer, the Kings will have a downgraded forward prospect and nothing else to show for it. A few weeks of Orlov aren't worth throwing away Turcotte's potential, even if they get a young bottom six forward out of the deal.

Why would they give a 1st? They wouldn't want Carlson, so they wouldn't pay for him.

Toronto and Edmonton pass too. Jensen isn't worth a 1st and they wouldn't give up Holl either. The 2nd is too much, TVR and Sheary are depth pieces even of they are doing well. It would probably be JP (valuing him as a 3rd)+a 4th or 5th.

It does though. Carlson is older and we're giving up a 1st in an extremely deep draft. We're not contenders and not moving our 1sts.

Both are hi AF. Jensen is on pace for 40+ and is an analytics darling. Could easily get a 1st maybe more. Manson got a 2nd and Jensen is a sizable upgrade over him. Chariot isway worse. 2nd + prospect would be worst case. I understand you lack of knowledge when it comes to Jensen but worse players got more just recently.

Sheary and Jarnkrok are similar and he got a 2nd 3rd and 7th. Sheary is on a 28g pace atm. AGIAN not that hard to look up comparables.

You might need to use a1st pretty soon to dump Anderson terrible contract. 5.5m X 5yrs for a 35p guy who is terrible at defense.

Lol that’s literally how the deadline works. If you are new to hockey look at every team that makes moves at the deadline

Jensen could fetch a first but that doesn't mean that's what he's worth, Florida paid a high price for Chiarot but that's not the typical going price for rentals of their caliber. Jensen isn't what the Leafs need so Dubas isn't going to give up a 1st for him.

The Oilers could probably careless about Sheary's goal pace, he's having a good year but doesn't change that he's a depth player. They would rather a high-end rental or a guy like Kuzmenko if he becomes available.

MTL won't need to add a 1st to Anderson, if they can't trade him they can afford to hold him.

Not every team are making all in moves, some look for long-term sustainability when they add guys. LA is probably one of those teams, they would add Chychrun before Orlov.

Oiler desperately need depth players who can score. Lol literally their issue. 1.5m player that can play up and down the line up is their wet dream.

TML need puck moving defenseman that are also reliable in their own end. Sandin looks really bad. Hill isn’t great. I’d say Jensen would easily be top 3 on the team.

Chychrun Would cost 2x-3x more and is constantly injured. Doubt it. Orlov can be resigned and is one of the best zone exiting D men in the league

The Kings aren't in a position to go all in for the Cup yet. Their window is just opening. 5 years from now, this might be the kind of move they consider. Right now, Turcotte is more valuable to them than Orlov is.

Both Manson and Chairot were those big guys that some people still like way more than they should. Jensen isn't that.

Habs arent gonna eat 8 million from a 32 year old for another 3 years and give up a 1st round pick. 1 for 1 is the only option unless you really like mid round picks
