What is the incentive for COL to do that? It doesn’t help their current roster it makes it worse. It doesn’t bring in high quality prospects. It trades a young top 4 dman locked up for his whole prime for a late 1st and late 2nd. Tell me what GM looking to win a cup does that trade?

Leafs have "plenty" of LHD.....Chychrun isn't a need. Now a RHD, to go with the current three.....now that would be a nice addition.

Why are the Leafs desparate? (especially for LHD). Reilly, Giordano, Sandin, Benn. even Mete and Kral have played there this season. Right side Holl, Liljgren and Brodie.

So what's the desperation? Gee, the Leafs are 8th in GAA. And this has been done with Muzzin and Liljegren out most of the season., and two starting goalies out some of the season. Fifth % in the East.

Savard is among the league leaders for blocked shots, Harris is already a top 4 D man and Kovacevic is the right handed version of Xhekaj, who is just the perfect 3rd pairing guy, in that he is cheap, skilled and hits hard and they can fill in anywhere else on the D and not look out of place. Holl is Toronto's overpaid version of Wideman a 7th D man who costs 2 mil.

Blocked shots are like killing rats. If you get one or two its good, if you find yourself doing it often theres a larger problem
