Nothing, Yzerman dealt Drouin for a reason. Drouin didn't like how he was being treated in Tampa. He basically thought he was a top 6 player there and Jon Cooper thought otherwise.

Right now Ben Chiarot is country miles better than Jonathan Drouin and slightly cheaper. At least he's pretty much healthy and loves to bang the body from time to time.

Absolutely! In the 2016 playoffs Drouin had 14 points in 17 games and then following season he had 21 goals and 53 points. So if Yzerman had no issues trading him when he was at the top of his game. I really don't see him trading for Drouin when he is off to the worst start of his career.

I like Chiarot a lot. Most of the posters on this site just like to whine and basically have no idea what they’re talking about.
Consider Drouin as a rental at $2.75mm. $5.5mm Drouin is a straw man argument.

It was Yzerman who was shopping Drouin because he didn't want him on the team anymore. Plus Tampa Bay didn't have cap issues 2018-19.
