No thanks. Why would Detroit trade their two best prospects?

Larkin isn't waiving for Vancouver.

And Edvinsson and the 2024 1st round pick alone is worth more than Lindell.

This dude is just trolling Detroit, And making ridiculous trades.

There is pretty much 0 reason for Vancouver to do that... All for Larkin to still be our 3rd best center

You could remove any of the three pieces in the Vancouver trade and they’d still say no

Canucks decline for obvious reasons. Larkin is good but he is nowhere near THAT good. Plus his next contract will be stupid big

Makes no sense for the Wings to give up young assets for Toews, and even Lindell. Even worse the Canucks giving up three good assets for one year of Larkin.

Not a chance that Larkin would even waive for Vancouver, So it's moot anyways.

Pretty much o reason for Detroit not to make the trade as well.

Larkin > Horvat.

We do't need Garland Berggren alone will be just as good down the road.

Zero chance of Larkin leaving his hometown for Vancouver. Only team i see Larkin leaving Detroit for is Columbus.

Is it screw the Red Wings week on CFACGM? At least 3 Red Wings CFACGM rosters today and 3 yesterday where it's Banana Land and Yzerman is running his team into the ground. Hey let's trade Edvinsson for future considerations!

Edit: Red Wings are allowed to re-sign their own pending UFA's. It's not illegal for Yzerman to re-sign Larkin and Bertuzzi. I know. Blasphemy, right?

Garland would have led all Detroit wingers in 5v5 points last season. This trade is worse for Vancouver than it is for Detroit.

Neither Vancouver or Detroit do the first trade. Toews is 34 and will be a UFA at the end of the season. You'd think after taking a season off to get healthy he'd come back rested and ready to go but he had the worst season of his career and even with half his cap hit retained it would make more sense to have Copp or Suter play in the 2C spot. That way Detroit doesn't loose any assets. Now that Dallas trade is so bad I can't even break it down in a constructive manor so I'll leave it at that.

Why to you hate Detroit so much?

Are the Blackhawks going to let Toews finish the last season of his contract and retire having only played for 1 team?

Larkin for the first time since Zetterberg retired had a line mate he was with for the entire season. I think it worked out well just under a point a game pace. Now Yzerman added a couple of good offensive players meaning Bertuzzi might be able to play the entire season with Larkin and Raymond. Larkin and Bertuzzi have had good chemistry when they have been able to play together. So I think Larkin has his best year to date.

I don't know who this trade is worse for and frankly I don't care. Both Vancouver and Detroit fans here are pretty sure it won't happen so why argue about something that isn't going to happen.

Horvat has NEVER had consistent lines mates. Not even last season. He scored the same amount of goals as Larkin. The difference between Larkin and Horvat is a lot smaller than people think. Their production over their career, and last 3 years is eerily similar.

I think he asks for a trade by December. He's not excited about the rebuild. I think he still has a few good seasons in him. It's his first healthy offseason in 3 years. He's a pending ufa with a lot to prove if he wants any term on his next deal.
