Devils do not want nor need chychrun. Devils LHD siegenthaler (who is elite defensively), graves, smith, bahl, Okhotyiuk, Luke Hughes, mukhamadullin

Chychrun literrally jumps over all the players you listed minus Hughes in terms of potential. But Hughes will only be ready next year. Chychrun, Hughes, Sieg would be a huge d corp for the years coming. Bahl and smith would be some good depth.

I think the Devils should just stay course. LD really isn't a concern for them

You're right about that being a terrible pair. But Dougie can't stay healthy?... He broke his jaw last year, far from a conventional injury and has barely missed any significant time at any other point in his career.

I think they could get Hague to replace Geavrs

Right side is Dougie, Severson, Marino with Damon probably moved at TDL
Nemec on the way and Muk further down the prospect line but there

Hague is a but of overkill but we need some overlap
If Hughes/Nemec stumble we are going the wrong way
Hague wouldn't cost us half of what Chychrun would

Hughes is good enough to play now, he’s gonna be a top four hit later this nhl season. Their LHD is locked up
