Why do the oilers want chychrun? He doesn't add anything to the roster don't already have. Left side is already crowed pushing a niemelainen completely out who at least brings a different element. Oilers should have zero interest in chychrun at least until the asking price is within line to what he's accomplished.

Barrie has negative value. Cmon, you know this. There’s a reasons most edmonton ACGMs are dumping him. No one wants him. JP has value, but it too much in this context.

Barrie isn't a cap dump, he's a perennial 50 point defender who makes just $4.5M. That's a value contract.

Klefbom and Smith won't be traded, they're on LTIR and their contracts essentially don't count against the cap.

The results prove you wrong. The Oilers have scored more when he's on the ice than they've allowed. No Oilers defenseman had better results down the stretch and in the playoffs than Barrie.

Wrong again! From Feb 10th to the end of the season Barrie was 4th in 5v5 TOI among defensemen.

From March 20 to the end he was also 4th.
