Can't see both Byram and Newhook getting that as bridges. MacDermid will never be a regular for the Avs, especially at D. Don't think they'd spend that kind of money on Motte.

what?? They have a 20 man roster here and are struggling to ice a bottom 6 that's even half decent. If new hook is 2C, he makes at least 4 mill or more. And Byram will be cheaper but still will get a raise and a potentially big raise. There's an abundance of left D in the league, and COL won't have much leverage cause he's on his last year of the deal and they will need to clear cap. The only way they won't need to clear cap is if they ice the worst bottom 6 in the league all making league min. Toews could get a 1st and a good prospect, but that's probably all.
