Rangers have enough forward prospects; I think that they're looking for at least one center in any deal for Kravtsov and Lundkvist. And if they're gonna trade Lundkvist alone, I'm almost sure that they're going to ask for Kidney or Mysak.

Habs will accept to move one of those two as we have Suzuki, Dach, Dvorak, Evans, Monahan, Mesar, and Beck who are all ahead of them. I prefer to keep Mysak who I think will be a LW not a Center in the NHL.

Don't get me wrong, Kidney could be great (3 assists last night in the Q) but you can only bet on so many Centers and Kidney was not a HuGo pick.

Why is Farrell untouchable... He's not even signed... If he was untouchable he would have a contact.

He's a sophomore in college, that's why he's unsigned. Over a ppg at Harvard and just had a fantastic Olympic tournament (as did Slaf). He's a massive part of the future.

Not at all. Farrel is younger and has much better offensive numbers. Kravstov has a bad attitude.

I agree with your edit, rumors are NY is looking for a young top 9 center prospect they can grow with the team (Mysak fits this perfectly) for Lundkvist. Rags also have no room for more wingers. Montreal is also very interested in keeping Farrell in the fold. He is a great setup guy to bring along and replace Drouin after this season. He has tremendous skill and hockey IQ kind of the perfect type of player to compliment the shooters (guys like Caufield, Slafkovsky, Mesar, Ylonen and Anderson) in the near future.

Yeah I get that, but prospects in college who are untouchable don't hang around college for 4 years...

While prospects in the NCAA have a history of signing with their draft teams that's positive.
The same can not be said once their team trades their rights as most often they'll hold out for free agency


Lundkvist is good but not a #1 RD so we're not in a position to be interested in paying too much
Kravatsov is a hot mess that makes lias anderson look like gold by comparison
Unless its 1 for 1 swaps of similar players or players on similar levels the Kent Hughes is out as per his TSN 690 podcast interviews (Plural)
