Not the right pieces for Severson.
Defensive pipeline is crowded as is with Bahl, Walsh, Okhotiuk all looking to make the NHL this season and Hughes and Nemec the next season. So no need for Brännström.
While I wouldn't mind keeping Severson for the year as a self-rental, I'd love a hockey trade with someone like Puljujärvi or Garland coming back to the Devils.
Or if the Devils are out of the playoffs come TDL, they should be looking at 2023 1st rd draft picks ahead of defensive prospects and 2nds that they don't have a need for.
Vesalainen doesn't have any value anymore, not giving up an offensively gifted middle sixer in Johnsson for him.
I don't think Vegas does trade as with Lehner and Weber sitting the season out they'll have more than enough room to sign Hague.
This is a ridiculous overpayment for Chychrun.
I get that you may not have watched a lot of the Devils lately but I would not trade Siegenthaler in a one for one swap with Chycrun.
Siegenthaler has emerged as one of the league's elite defensive defensemen and is part of the Devils long term core by now.
No way.

Well if that 2nd gets switched to a 1st , then Ottawa doesn’t do it. Brannstrom + Jarventie + 2023 1st is way too much for 1 year of Severson
Järventie + 2023 1st for Severson makes sense to me closer to TDL, if Ottawa or competing for the playoffs and the Devils aren't.
Could Dorion go for that?
