Byram Newhook and a 1st, helll no. Byram is a beast plain and simple and unless you are getting a top 10 player in the world it’s already an overpay. Lindholm is nice don’t get me wrong but where is that production when it matters most in the playoffs? What do his numbers do not getting 1st line minutes and PP1 minutes when he goes to a place like COL. I mean you’re talking about a top pairing quality dman right now at 21, a 21yr old kid that has 2C and 60pt potential and is already a 30pt 3C, and a 1st rd pick for a guy 27yr old UFA in 2 years that is your 2C, arguably ends up being only your 4th best forward for that. Easy no, COL is SIGNIFICANTLY better off force feeding Newhook the 2C spot than doing an awful trade like that.

Ur right. If COL wanted Lindholm they would probably only do it by trading picks. Even then it probably isn't worth it cause he is only there for 2 years. But that's just Colorados situation. Lindholm would get a good return to another team most likely.

Eichel was different. His back was broken and there was a lot of questions there. And yes he did get a return of that caliber. Krebs, Tuch, 16th overall (new hook was also 16th OA) and a 2nd is about equal value to Byram Newhook and a 30-32nd OA pick. Lindholm is a healthy, good two way centre who puts up points and is in his prime and on a steal of a contract. He should get a really good return if traded.
