No he's French there's a difference
Danault hit 50 pts + as often as PLD who's really inconsistent
Its nice he had a 2 really good year he got over that hump years apart on 2 different teams
But who's paying over the 6.5m QO for that with Term?

PLD Value goes up the closer he gets to that cost
Issue is most expect he'll get 8m just over what Suzuki a Superior player who's done more in less time is getting.

PLD OS is a cheaper way to go
If WPG matches good we castrated them cap wise going forward
They'll have to trade PLD at a loss to move him at that term and cap

If they dont match that also works
We can offer PLD 7x7 and a way out
Or let him stay with WPG till he becomes a UFA or WPG has to offload his matched OS

Either way all the Leverage is in the hands of a former Player Agent known to be a great negotiator
Im more confident in him making Chevy look like a fool unless he signs a OS then i am WPG being able to turn a profit
PLD took their leverage away now other teams are scared off

Oreilly got way less in this situation compared to Duchene who shut his mouth and got a kings ransome in his trade.

Jets fans making trades like PLD is a number 1 center and has more value than Debrincat, somehow, as a 2 year rental that has no hope of resigning outside Montreal. Don't bother with that guy, he never learns.

In their defense a few weeks ago PLD value was higher
If he filed for Arbitration they had a chance to get him on term and possibly are a lower cap given his inconsistency

When that dissapeared so did their desire to keep him
After that they tried trading him likely getting close
But he strategically sabotaged them with his MTL statement
He has no Contract Protection in the form of a NTC or NMC but that was just as good

Now that it seems like he'll sign a OS
WPG leverage is gone as the highest value they can expect is 1st 2nd and a 3rd or if Hughes isnt the GM i think he is then two 1st's ,2nd and 3rd round pick

Imagine thinking this team has any leverage to trading a cancer like PLD. Press the ignore button. I did a long time ago on him. He has no empathy, cant take off the homer blinders

Agree with your point in general but i voted Trudeau and agree with the Right to Fund the Convoy
Gov't overstepped and for it will be punished just like WMA was defanged to become the MA
We'll do the same when we kill the MA which was only ever Activated by Liberal Leaders
(WW1 Union party lead by former Liberal Leader for Ukraine Internment Camps, WW2 Pm King Japanese Internment Camps, FLQ Pm Trudeau used falsely WMA defanged and My Feelings were hurt PM Trudeau Jr who has killed the MA going forward)

It isnt Liberal vs Conservative
Its Canadian vs Globalist
While im all for Free Trade at this point only if its based on Canada 1st mentality.
We will include all who want to be Canadian and build forward
But we're done being held hostage by the NAFTA deals and worse

While i would never fund the Convoy
I dont think the Gov't shouldnt interfere with those who do
Painting them as terrorists move's the goal post and makes it so lets say
Next time a NHL teams fanbase riots like VAN they call on the MA

You dont get a better society by lowering the bar.
Nor do you get one by taking away Voice's in a Democracy hindering any form of debate which is its foundation

lol I aint getting political but its pretty telling when a retired journalist feels he can make that comment shortly after Maurice just threw his arms up and flat out quit on the team. Why would Montreal even entertain the idea of PLD??!

The rumoured offer at the draft table was Dvorak, Drouin and Ylonen. I would never pay anymore than that for a player with so much baggage especially in a rebuilding situation. Montreal has had enough drama in recent history, don't need the PLD reality show.

Yes it is
Someone said politics devalued players

I explained why it didnt or shouldnt
The context is still hockey as the point of the Conversation was to defend Paul Statsny/Players

SMH i hate it when people say "i see something that triggers me better kill democracy and debate where it stands cause im offended " lol
If this post had no context in relation to hockey or no post targeting a hockey player in that context.
Then nothing would have been said about it

How do you know that Winnipeg isn't on Anderson's NTC. When did the news come out?

I don't but it was reported or rumored, not sure which exactly but that Anderson was one of two players going to Winnipeg in this PLD trade that fell through at the draft, apparently there was a third piece that Chevy wanted but the Habs wouldn't part with it.

So if thats true then Winnipeg wasn't on Anderson's no trade list but I find that hard to believe since Winnipeg is on the vast majority of no trade lists though Anderson only has an 8 team no trade list so guess its possible Winnipeg wasn't on it.

Thats Logical
I can get behind that even if we cant find an actual list
It stand to reason it would be true given reports

We're all right it just the post we were dumb enough to speak on wasnt one of ours
Some people arent intellectually on the same level

Even with Links and the entire Conversation laid out infront of them
They'll see a word they hate like "Liberal or Conservative" and turn off their ability to listen or debate

Its on us
Know your Audience and this isnt our Audience lol

Jets will be begging to move him for Dvorak by the end of July at this rate. The optics just get worse and worse. Bigger cancer TDA or PLD? It's a tough one.
Flyers really need to make an offer here and reunite PLD and Torts. The fit is perfect. PLDrama can just take shifts off and a work a few ****s at home depot on the side.

Player is called less valuable based on funding Convoy
I defended the right to a political viewpoint without it negating value

That's not talking Politics
Its defending a Hockey players right to have Political Viewpoints without discrimination.

People who get triggered cant see the difference
Their brain shuts off when you say a trigger word
The ability to think in Context to the Subject dies in that instance

Its why WW3 is here
People would rather be ignorant then Educated

The irony here is the 2 people debating with opposite viewpoints
We're now together defending the premise of critical thinking as it applies to hockey in this context.
Despite rivaling views not minutes before we were able to Maturely Adjust

That's something the Triggered have not and will never do

He's upset that he was outed that he rather do home improvement shopping at Home Depot than off ice workouts lol

Paul Stastny said after the season that the Jets dressing room is poison. A reporter from the Winnipeg Free Press that retired also said the locker room was filled with the worst human beings he ever met. Paul Maurice, the coach, quit midway through the season. Shall I go on??!

jets need to tear it down. Chevy shouldnt even be a GM after the Chicago fiasco.

I didn't hear about all that.
I know the Hoffman/Karlsson thing in Ottawa brought that team to its knees for a spell, until it was solved via trades. Move them both out.
It sounds like the degeneration of the Jets' locker room has been going bad for quite a while, Dubois aside.
Just curious how many others in there are creating problems.
