Add Bellows to the Toronto deal if he’s not playing just trade him at this point

$1.5m over the cap without a full roster right now/him not signed. Will be interested to see where that money is coming from. Could offer sheet him right now at $4m and Leafs couldn't match. That only gets a 2nd round worth of comp anyways.

Nyquist would be the guy they dump long before Bjorkstrand is traded for futures. He's now a key part of what will be a team pushing to have playoff success over the remaining 4 years of his contract and beyond.

Here's the question: would the Leafs match a $4M offer sheet on Sandin right now? Because cap-wise it looks incredibly hard for them to do, and a lot of their moves this summer are pointing to them preparing for life without him.

If you're trying to move him and asking for the moon, any team trying to make a deal will just say "ok bye" and sign him to a 1x$4M, give you the 2nd rounder, and walk away. If you want a little more than Bode Wilde, I'm sure it would still work, but asking for a 1st right now for Sandin is basically begging another GM to offer sheet him.

I'd rather let you offer sheet sandin, wild has 0 value so no reason to help another team out

it's frustrating because he looked like he had a ton of potential going into his draft year, but there were character issue red flags (so, like, this isn't just a COVID thing - it almost makes it seem like that was the last straw).

all tools, no toolbox with this kid. not the first time it's happened but it's always frustrating when it's one of your prospects. if he can get his head on straight, i still think he has a shot at being a middle pair guy, but he's quickly running out of time.

He was fine until covid hit. Bridgeport staff liked him and said he was very coachable. The red flags pre-draft were total BS. We would be debating a vaccine continuing this conversation but that's the only thing keeping him away right now. Full stop. Either he gets the shot or Lou lifts his policy

Wilde has plenty of value, he looks good right now. No way would anyone give up that much for Nyquist.

Or just don't waste a roster spot and cap space on Milano and play Bellows as the LW3.

Huh? Wilde just put up mediocre (at best) numbers in the Swedish equivalent of the AHL. He may still have value based on his tools, but to say he looks good now is quite the stretch.
