Jackets can't afford to take on that much cap. Would either have to retain 50% or find a 3rd party to do it. Would also be a bit more than they'd be willing to pay for 1 year of Miller imo.

Columbus declines easily. They don’t have the cap room for Miller, so unless you’re willing to take Voracek back, Columbus probably isn’t going to be trading for Miller.

I forgot to add retention on miller, but with retention I think that's a relatively fair trade. Miller would be a great 1C for Gaudreau and Laine and losing corson isn't so bad because you drafted Jiricek

A 3 team deal can probably be done which would eat most of millers cap. I wasn't worried about the cap for this trade, I was just thinking this would be a good base for a miller trade

Texier is more the sticking point imo. I agree that Ceulemans can be safely dangled in trade speculation because of Jiricek. I don't see how they could accommodate Jiricek, Boqvist and Ceulemans long term. Texier seems to be a player they are very high on though. He gets projected into a 4th line role often in ACGMs, but that's not a reflection of his talent. He was just excellent on that line with Kuraly and Robinson. If he's moved the rumour, which was denied by Jarmo, was that the asking price was a 1st + for him alone. If that's to be believed then this trade is a recent 1st, a 1st in a deep draft and the 1st + that is expected of Texier for potentially only one year of Miller. I like Miller, but Jarmo was adamant that he would not trade high picks for players with no contract certainty and this would be him giving up the equivalent for 3 for a player like that.
