I tend to agree with you on Minny, having said that, Talbot is a 34yr old goalie on an expiring deal, and Hartman had a career year whiling playing on a team that was super deep. With Fiala gone, no way he can step up and be a threat to score 30 goals again. Getting SDA and picks back while taking on a crappy Mrazek deal is a good concept on paper. Doubt they do it, playing a little NHL GM mode here lol.

That Detroit trade is crazy, they'd never entertain that kinda offer.

@salzy, if the pick is better it makes sense. Can flip Holl if he has a decent year for another pick. Milano is an in between player, no sense in Ducks keeping him, especially when they have a ton of good young players that will make the roster next year. And they have a ton of cap space to go out and make a major splash if they want

Nylander is a better player than both of those players and Muzzin does have value proved hes still a top 4 d in the playoffs, pending his heatlh. SDA will be a legit NHL player in the year 2 years, at least a top 9 player.

Milanos chemistry with Zegras is all the reason in the world the Ducks need to keep him, he can play RW and LW and play up and down the line up, hes not a throw away for a rental bottom pairing defenseman that we can sign 5 of in FA and flip them at the deadline without giving Milano away for nothing

if you make the pick better i think its not bad, Holl is a good player, can play top 4 if needed, had a bit of a bad year last year, but i think hes got game still

i can see why you say that, i think the most realistic one is the EDM one. Maybe adjustments on the picks but Jesse is proven hes meh with any top 6 role, Kerfoot is a very flexible guy, exactly what EDM needs

All teams decline. Puljujarvi would be superior to Kerfoot even without the latter's rental status. And Holl plus an over-the-horizon fifth is worth no more than a 2023 fourth, not a proven middle-6 forward who plays well with Trevor Zegras.
