If Nylander is moved leafs fans are going to be disappointed with the return. A 2 year rental is only attractive for teams who are set up to win now. Most win now teams don't have the cap space to take him on. The market for Nylander is going to be low. I think they just end up keeping him.

an 80+ point winger who has more even strength playoff points than legitimate superstars would go for alot more than two mid 1st rounders , a 36 year old and a middle 6 forward. Not to mention nylander is on one of the best deals in the league, youre delusional, they also arent trading him unless they get a player better than him🤣

oh yea a 36 year old , a 1st rounder which is in the middle of the round in a weak draft, a 22-15th pick the following year, and a middle 6 forward isnt worth an 80 + point winger who has been a point per game in the playoffs for like 3 years, on one of the best value deals in the league would go for wayyyyy more💀

nylander is worth more to the leafs than middle round 1st round picks, a middle 6 forward, and a 36 year old goalie. this false narrative that they are extremely cap strapped when 3 moves is gonna push them to around 17-18M in cap, mrazek, kerfoot and holl. Muzzins up in the air as well, they arent touching the core unless they get a player thats better than one of the players they move , ie nylander involved in a deal that brings in a player better than nylander.

I wish you luck on getting a deal where you move Nylander for a player better than Nylander and the cap space to get a goalie who is also an improvement over soupy.

Personally the Kings giving up two 1sts, Iafallo, retaining half on quick, and Muzzin (who I see as a cap dump) for 2 years of Nylander is an excessive overpay for a Kings team who isn’t even in their cup window. It also makes the Kings worse off, makes them need to address getting a new goalie and I don’t even believe they’d have enough cap space to make many other moves to bolster their team.
