I don't hate that Murray trade for either team, but there's virtually zero change Jiricek is still there at 7th. One of either Philadelphia or Columbus will take him for sure.

i think in order i value the highest to lowest goes Cozens, 16OA, Krebs. the chances of getting Lambert at 16OA would be really enticing for me to move carlo for that pick

I don't think that we'll move Sean Durzi unless it's in a deal for a top-line forward or first-pairing defenseman. Casey Mittelstadt is neither.

Any trade that sees Ottawa move the 7th overall pick and doesn't bring in a player worth trading the 7th overall pick for is an instant skip for me. Olofsson has talent and he produces, but he's not an offensive driver at all and he's brutal defensively. Sens could do a lot worse as a top 6 add, but he's not close to what I'd be looking for when trading that pick.

Moving Murray's contract is pretty low priority for me. He was mostly very good last season, so I'm not worried about carrying 3 goalies if Ottawa can't move him for value with retention. If he sucks out next year Ottawa is clearly unafraid of burying him in the minors, and frankly he's very likely to end up on LTIR at some point, which at the risk of sounding flippant about his health IS a solution to the issue of his contract.

There's no chance the right d are there at 7. I would still go center either way, so everybody can be happy I don't get a vote. I think, after the first 5, from the mocks that I've seen, the guy you wanted at 7 might still be there at 16. Unless you wanted a right d, then no. So might as well keep 16 and olofsson, and let Ottawa figure out what to do with murray
