Offseason Touch-Up

Créé par: TheDukeOfJon
Équipe: 2022-23 Sabres de Buffalo
Date de création initiale: 9 juin 2022
Publié: 9 juin 2022
Mode - plafond salarial: Basique
Description
These trades were made by other people I saw on here and I really liked them so I wanted to give Sabres fans an idea of what the other GMs of CapFriendly were offering us and what I accepted. Enjoy!

After completion edit:

As cool as this roster looks, I just dislike that Ruo, Peterka, Quinn, and Samuelsson are all in the AHL. Other than that, I think the lineup looks pretty solid. Even if we're out of a playoff spot near the deadline, we can ship out Kerfoot, Monahan, and Tatar. Then call up R2, Peterka, and Quinn. They can play here in the bottom 6 for the remainder of the season.

    Détails additionnels:
This one was a bit edited. It was originally Thompson and Tatar for a 2023 2nd but Buffalo isn't in a huge need for Tatar. I feel that Thompson is compensation for taking on Tatar's contract. If NJ is fine with a 3rd instead, Buffalo happily accepts!

    Détails additionnels:
This one was also a little edited. The original was Mrazek and Kerfoot to us for FC. We don't really need Kerfoot but goaltending is an issue. So as compensation for taking on 7.3 mil, we get a 3rd. With the limited picks that Toronto has in this draft, we send back a 6th to sweeten it up a little.

Is the object to try & win and further develop the talented youth?

Or just to be out of it by the deadline & try to dump these (mostly) mediocre Vets?

    🤮🤮🤮

Toronto is not trading Nylander for, whatever that is. Or likely for anything, but if they do, it's to help their current team be competitive, not for an underwhelming amount of futures. Especially not in the division.

We are supposed to be chasing toronto. They have a cap crunch and a bad goalie making too much money. The only reason to do anything for them is that it helps us. Kerfoot and a 3rd doesn't do much for us. I want something nice, or let them figure it out themselves. I'm not gonna be kicking myself if arizona takes this exact deal, and even less so if they are forced to buy him out because nobody just helped them, like thet felt they were entitled to.

It won't cost assets to move a top 6 center

Trade proposals aside, you completely left off the guy who finished the season playing #1 LD with Dahlin as his partner. Mattias Samuelsson says hello. Also if Mrazek is Buffalo's starter next season I'll puke.

Delusional. Monahan's body is completely shot and everyone knows it, and his chances of ever returning to top-6 center conversation are very slim.

Do you not understand what the purpose of surgeries are? He literally played nearly the entirety of the last 2 seasons injured. This training camp will be the first time he has been fully healthy in a while. People like you said the exact same thing about Tarasenko last year, and with Josh Anderson the year before that. Neither of those views aged well at all

He starts skating this month. If he is not healthy enough to play then Calgary isn't going to trade him. Instead they will just put him on LTIR for the remainder of his contract.

So in any trade involving Monahan you have to assume he's healthy

But that doesn't make sense because nobody is going to trade for him without having full access to his medicals

Well why would Buffalo be getting picks back right now if he was healthy and playing decent. Would think he is considering him a Dump for you at this point so that's why the picks
