Sure, him and Power played very well together. So the kid had a decent season, before that he was a 35pt player. I will just keep Olofsson for about the same and get just as much production. And use the asset on something else. Maybe Florida's pick, but no way 16 and Joker.

The fact that power carried him doesn’t make him improved. He’s not better than who I replaced him with certainly. Garland is way better than olofsson because I don’t have to shelter him with asplund or tuch just to get value out of him.

Don’t get fooled by pts, garland is okay driving possession monster with defensive upside. Olofsson needs someone to hold his hand defensively to be able to score 25 a yr without being a liability

Olofsson was a plus player after his wrist injury healed. If he so good why does Vancouver want to move him. Still not giving 16 for Garland. Maybe 28 and Kisakov

Im not saying olofsson isn't good, Offensively he and Garland are pretty close. The difference is Olofsson needs to be sheltered. Otherwise for every goal he scores he's probably directly responsible for 1.5 against. He's really bad without the puck, forcing the Sabres to ensure he plays with one of asplund or tuch, which hurts their ability to spread the offence across three lines. Garland doesn't have that problem.

I don't actually know that Vancouver wants to trade him anymore, I just saw his name in another ACGM and ran with it. It's entirely possible this is moot and the Canucks decide not to move him.

Bailey's not really a cap dump, he's more like a $3-3.5M player with a $5M cap hit. He's average 57 pts/82GP over the last -six- seasons, he'll be a solid player on your second line and PP1, he won't kill you, and he's got the "leadership" and "playoff performer" intangibles that GMs seem to like. In a total vacuum, his trade value is probably a 3rd/4th rounder.

I guess the inflated point toatls will net the isles an asset thats probably right. His underlying numbers are really bad though. You're probably correct on the value I just think the Sabres would walk from it since Bailey would only be acquired to get them to the floor.
