There isn’t a planet that exists that COL trades Byram for Miller 1 for 1 much less adding a 1st.

Filip Forsberg will get closer to $9,000,000 x 7 years.

It will take far more than a 3rd round pick to move Oliver Ekman-Larssons contract. Either you need to retain $2,000,000 or surrender multiple picks like 1sts and 2nds to unload that contract.

Byram isnt a prospect. Hes a significant part of the D core for a stanley cup contending team. If you want to talk about a Miller trade involving Behrens/Olausson as the prospect im all ears

he's a rookie so that makes him a prospect in many eyes. But byram, barron (before the trade), and newhook all got the untouchable treatment especially at the TDL

No I treat in taking on OEL contract too much cap and too much term. If it was OEL of 2 years ago maybe, but Wings will need cap to sign short term LHD and #2 center and space to sign Larkin Bert and down the road Seider, Raymind and Raymond.

What reality are you in? Byram is an NHL regular, not a prospect. Barron was never untouchable, Avs fans just didn’t want to trade him for your team’s garbage.

JT Miller to the Avs for Byram/Newhook + 1st is the new version of Drouin to Colorado. It’s extremely unrealistic and an immediate no, but somehow that doesn’t stop ACGMs from posting it every damn day.

I think it will be close, but 10m is a lot of money for a player who is kinda streaky and doesnt have a great health record.

I would call a rookie a prospect, and thats exactly what byram is so sorry if you dont see it the same as me. He would be getting super limited minutes if it werent for the Girard injury he would be a bottom pair guy/ in and out of the lineup. Byram's health degraded his value so it made it so Byram and a 1st was a reasonable offer, you guys are too high on new hook, he will be a solid 2nd line centre but he wont be the next MacKinnon, JT Miller is not garbage, he had 99 points in 80 games this year. I had some AGM's give the barron idea the immediate no saying that he was going to be the 2RD as of next year.

Oy vey.

I am not calling JT Miller garbage. I’m calling most of the Barron trade proposals back before the TDL garbage. Miller is obviously a very good player. Problem is that he only has one year left on his deal. That hurts his asking price.

A prospect is a player who is in a team’s development system. Byram was a starter on day 1. He’s a rookie, not a prospect. Those are two distinct things. You can consider all rookies prospects, but that just makes you incorrect.

Yeah, Byram would be on the 3rd pairing if Girard were healthy. I’m not sure why you’re saying that as a gotcha. He’s 20 and behind one of, if not the best top 4s in the league. And now with Girard out, he’s been productive in a higher role. On Vancouver, he’s probably on the second pairing and QBing PP2.

I also never mentioned Newhook being the next MacKinnon, you are putting words in my mouth. I’m not sure where that came from. You can go through my post history if you want my take on Newhook, but I’ve been consistent that he’s not a 2C yet.

1. it sounded like you called him garbage, yes there were some bad barron proposals but most people know that he is looking to sign for term once he lands wherever that be.

2. people have called all rookies around me prospects so I more a less picked it up from them, and for that I apologize for not being clear enough.

3. I didn't try to use it as a gotcha, I am saying that his usual deployment would be lower down in the lineup and his value was lower when he was playing lower and in and out of the lineup due to his concussion problems. He would probably be moved to the right side in van and yes QB PP2

4. I never said YOU said that Newhook would be the next Mackinnon, but a good chunck of your ACGM fanbase treated him differently, with some going as far to say that they wouldnt do a 1 for 1. Newhook has been a healthy scratch this playoffs so I doubt that he would bring more value than Miller.

Sorry if I came across harshly, I had no intentions of doing so
