Minnesota is likely getting a top 10 pick back in a package deal for Fiala. The Senators have been strongly tied to him, while also announcing that the 7th overall pick is available. Not to mention, Fiala has the same agent as many core Senators players, which might be a hint that the team and player could be on the same page about what it would take for an extension. (We all know NHL teams never tamper, right?). The Devils also did the same thing with the 5th overall pick, but their lottery win likely makes that moot unless they are going to put Alexander Holtz on the table in place of the pick.
Byfield is obviously off the table, and would be an overpayment anyways. I doubt the Kings are worried about his lack of production. When the Kings selected him, they knew that as a bigger player, he was always going to be more of a long term project between both him and Stutzle.
A trade package likely starts with Brandt Clarke or Arthur Kaliyev. It depends what other teams are offering, and what kind of evaluation the Wild have over Minnesota's players. I doubt they want Vilardi as a main piece, but who knows.
