Why would Jersey even make that offer for one year of Bertuzzi? Heck you get a signed Fiala for about that price.

My guy. The 2023 draft is supposed to be on par with the 2015 draft which is arguably the most stacked draft class of all time. The Devils are drafting no lower than 8th overall You know who was available at 8th in 2015? Rantanen, Aho, Kaprizov, Barzal, Connor, Meier, etc. Those are people I can name off the top of my head, and that's not counting all the people who are on par with Bertuzzi in terms of value. They're all more valuable than he is. So why would they trade that pick and more for a point per game player? Bert is great but that's a terrible deal

It will be a good draft for sure. We don't know how long it will take those guys to be ready for the nhl.
Word is devil's are looking for help now for futures. Bert isn't just a ppg player. He offers allot more and would be especially helpful with some of your smaller skilled guys.
