The Jets have a lot of talent, they may wait and see what new coaching does before they do any major roster surgery. Look how that worked out for Calgary. Albeit 3 players having career years also helped.

The biggest issue seems to be locker room issues cuz on paper they look like a playoff team. And reports are always saying it’s Scheifele and Wheeler the issues . This might finally be the year they retool

I don't want Wheeler at all. He's basically the poster boy for failure as a leader, and he's horrendous defensively to the point that it almost has to be on purpose. I'll never slag off his offensive ability, but I think he'd be a bad fit in Ottawa.

I just want to find someone like Voracek with 2 years left. Perfect stop gap for a guy like Kemell or Lekkerimaki and can still produce

I don't hate Perron at all in that role, but I don't like Wheeler one bit. If the play is a stop gap option I would go Perron, then let Joseph and Formenton Duke it out for the LW spot (Joseph-Stützle-Perron). I don't think there's room for two top 6 winger additions unless you're moving Connor Brown. Joz and Formenton would be wasted with 4th line minutes.

You are an OTT fan so you know Matt Murphy suffered a serious concussion from which he continues to have lingering effects of - yeah I'd rather go into the season with Subban and UPL than 6.25 million guy with a lingering concussion - call me old fashion.

I'm a Jets fan and still I doubt OTT would want to take on that contract
