Marner likely isn’t getting moved unless management has a drastic change of heart (losing in the first round doesn’t guarantee they will). It’ll take them getting beat and not looking like they’re even in the games to consider that move.

Now IF Marner was going to considered to be moved, it’s fewer pieces 6, likely closer to 4 pieces with higher value. Considering Toronto’s needs, I’d say you’re likely looking at Mercer + Severson (with an extension) + Sharangovich + conditional 2nd that turns into a 1st if Marner is top 5 in league scoring or MVP voting

Leafs won’t be looking to rebuild so players like Holtz, Gritsyuk, and Stillman really have very little value to them. You don’t get a consistent top 10 point producer for cheap - you wouldn’t like the price you’d be paying for him

Jersey is not going to do this. Whether its worth it or not. It seems more like Nylander is the odd man out in Tor. They rested their thoroughbreds on the last gm and played Wille down in the lineup. Jersey should look at the wingers in FA, its just what they need now.

This actually isn't a bad Marner proposal. Two recent 1st round picks (including Holtz who was a high pick), two first round picks including a 5th overall, Zacha who at the very least could be a Mikheyev replacement on the defensive line and another prospect who seems to have had a good year in the KHL.

I'm not sure Marner would be the one traded, but this was a fair attempt.
